Gary J Palin
Chief Executive & Accountable Manager

Gary has over 35 years management experience within the global aviation industry. A former CEO of two scheduled regional airlines including their respective total aircraft maintenance and ground handling operations, Gary has held commercial and operational postholder responsibility for licensed air operators in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle-East operating multiple aircraft fleets, and has also been retained on many wide-ranging airline and aviation consulting projects.

With the UK’s Air 2000 and its successor First Choice Airways (now Thomson/TUI) , he directed Airbus and Boeing fleet aircraft acquisitions and aircraft/engine leasing transactions, notably leading the airline’s negotiating team for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and associated GEnx powerplant as launch customer.

In VIP and corporate aviation, Gary has established and managed private and fleet operators in Europe, the Americas and elsewhere on behalf of several owners, with personal experience operating most principal business jet types. Selling his first Learjet in 1983 and buying his first Boeing in 1986, Gary has administered well over 200 jet aircraft transactions to date.

Consulting projects include agencies of the EU and World Bank, major corporates British Aerospace and Shell, leading global management consultants, banks, equity funds, airlines, airframe manufacturers, MROs and airports. Gary is an ISTAT member and a Senior Associate at Nyras Capital LLP.





Matthew Martin
Director & Head of Operations

Matthew has some 20 years experience within busy flight operational environments at airline and corporate operators flying worldwide. His significant practical experience covers commercial activities, crew scheduling, flight planning, aircraft dispatch and flight-watch, in addition to operations and flight planning training duties.

At Air Fleet since inception, Matthew leads all crew scheduling, flight planning, dispatch and flight-watch activities.

Jonathan is in charge of all general office administration and accounting, ensuring that all back-office functions satisfy the demanding needs of the business and most importantly our global clients.





Mark German
Compliance Manager

Mark is former Head of Aircraft Management at European Tour Operator TUI, responsible for 160 aircraft operated by the Group's various European airlines including Thomson Airways in the UK. He was Head of Boeing 787 Programme at the airline leading the type's entry into service, and previously Head of Aircraft Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance Manager at First Choice Airways and Air 2000.

Mark holds EASA and FAA engineering licences, at Air Fleet responsible for monitoring the Company's regulatory compliance and good practice throughout its aircraft operations and maintenance activities through a rigorous internal audit programme, root cause analysis, follow-up of corrective actions, and development of procedures.





Colin Bailey

Colin is a former Chairman of the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) at London’s historic and highly regarded Baltic Exchange and has been a leading figure in international aviation for many years.

Worldwide, Colin has been responsible for successfully organising many hundreds of unique flight programmes for VIP, government and corporate missions, and a substantial number of aircraft charter, lease and acquisition programmes. He has provided aircraft operations and advisory services to the British Government, United Nations, airlines worldwide and many ‘blue chip’ corporations.

Since 1986, Colin has worked with members of the team on numerous aircraft transactions, airliner leases and industry consulting projects - including corporate aircraft evaluations, flight department and fractional operator reviews.




Andrew Jones

Adviser - Ground Operations

Andrew has been engaged with diverse commercial aircraft operations for over 40 years. In that time he has held senior management posts with aircraft operators in the executive, cargo and scheduled service fields, including as Operations Manager and Postholder for a number of UK airlines.

A specialist in quality management, compliance and operations regulatory matters, Andrew is an expert in drafting operations manuals and written procedures regularly supporting both startup airlines and the introduction of new aircraft types by established operators.




Paul Stephenson  

Capt. Paul Stephenson
Adviser - Flight Operations

A former London Metropolitan Police detective with investigative experience before starting his flying career, Paul has been a commercial pilot in private and commercial jet operations for the past fifteen years.

Holding both UK CAA/EASA and US FAA Airline Transport Pilot licences, Paul has true global flying experience operating throughout Europe, Russia, the Middle-East, Asia, Australasia, and North America, trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific. Paul is also a simulator instructor on the Falcon EASy aircraft and is currently flying as Captain on Gulfstream and Falcon types operating worldwide.
